branch of Engineering, which has the tremendous advantage of
abstraction and flexibility. This has revolutionized not only the
data processing and storage, but also the quality of life,
communication, manufacturing and transportation.
Ever increasing pace of development in electronics, audio and video
communication systems and the automation in industry have made an
electronic engineer a catalyst for the change of the modern society
The Electronics and Communication Engineering branch is a highly
sought after branch of Engineering today. An electronics and
communication graduate has various options to choose for career
growth viz. he can easily switch over to software field and can opt
for design/fabrication of electronic hardware and thus can become an
entrepreneur also. He can also work in the Instrumentation
Technology or in Medical Electronics fields.
The Department has well-developed laboratories in the areas of
Semiconductor Devices & Circuits, Digital and Logic Design ,
Microprocessors, DSP , Microcontrollers , VLSI Analog Communication
and Electromechanical Energy Conversion.
Curriculum:
Besides giving a thorough grounding in basic sciences and
engineering subjects, the curriculum in Electronics & Communication
Engineering lays a greater emphasis on deep understanding of
fundamental principles and state of art knowledge of electronic
networks and devices, electrical engineering fundamentals,
communication and control systems, etc.
